Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Cyber Security Forensic Analyst to join our team at Fort Meade, MD.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:​

  • Provide support for CI and CT investigations.
  • Research, design, deploy, and lead training events.
  • Evaluate emerging forensic technologies.
  • Provide operational security assessments and support cyber forensic and cyber security tasks.
  • Perform all phases of the forensic examination of digital media, including on-site and off-site evidence acquisition/seizures, forensic analysis, and reporting, ensuring chain of custody is maintained and that applicable rules of evidence are adhered to.
  • Provide support for incident response activities, intrusion events, and malware analysis.
  • May be considered a Lead.
  • Continued employment is contingent on the successful completion of DOD certified digital forensic examiners courses.  
  • Understanding of computer file systems.  In-depth experience with file system forensics, registry, history, timeline, email, signature/hash analysis. 
  • Understanding of steganography and encryption detection and analysis. Demonstrated experience with forensics tools such as EnCase, Forensic Toolkit, and Xways. 
  • Strong documentation and written communication skills with technical report writing experience.
  • Continued employment is contingent on the successful completion of the DOD certified Digital Forensic Examiner courses (requires INCH, CIRC and WFE).

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 7 to 9 years of related experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in technology/tools specific to the target platforms.     

Certs and Compliance: 

  • Must have one or more of the following:

Certified Information System Security (CISSP), Cisco-based Networking Certifications (CCNA), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), EC-Council Certified Security Analyst (ECSA) or Security+.  

  • Must have a DoD 8140/8570 compliance IAT certification.  ​

  • Windows Forensic Examiner – EnCase (WFE)
  • Computer Incident Responder’s Course (CIRC)
  • Introduction to Networks and Computer Hardware (INCH)

  • Use industry standard tools (EnCase, FTK, Nuix, X-Ways, XRY, Cellebrite, AXIOM, VOLITIVITY FOUNDATION) to analyze mobile devices and other systems.
