Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Safety Officer to join our team in the Northern, VA area to provide unparalleled support to our customer and to begin an exciting and rewarding career within ManTech.

Basic Duties and Responsibilities:

- Maintain a safe and healthful jobsite while meeting or exceeding standard safety policies

- Ensure subcontractors and site visitors follow the safety rules and regulations (to include OSHA standards)

- Clearly communicate safety rules and regulations

- Consistently enforce all rules and regulations

- Promote a positive atmosphere for the Safety Program

-Clearly communicate safe methods and procedures to accomplish tasks

- Encourage workers to help each other work safely

- Understand documentation requirements and procedures

- Define responsibilities and expectations of personnel

- Manage paperwork for easy completion & filing

Desired Requirements:

- Meet the following certifications and continuing education requirements:

- Maintaining OSHA 30 hour and current CPR and First Aid certifications.

- Complete at least 8 Hours of Safety Continuing Education annually

Clearance requirements:

- Must possess a TS/SCI w/Polygraph

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
