Responsibilities

Manage the full lifecycle of a technical architecture e.g. requirements analysis, platform selection, design of the technical architecture, design of the application development, testing, and deployment environments

Design Big Data architecture with a good understanding of cluster and parallel architecture as well as high scale or distributed RDBMS and knowledge on NoSQL platforms

Benchmark systems, analyze system bottlenecks and propose solutions to eliminate them

Clearly articulate pros and cons of various technologies and platforms

Document use cases, solutions and recommendations

Perform detailed analysis of business problems and technical environments and use this in designing the solution for clients requirements

Help program and project managers in the design, planning and governance of implementing Big Data projects

Work in a fast paced agile development environment

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other relevant fields

At least 7 years IT Related work Experience

Experience on the following

Hadoop, Cloudera, Hortonworks, Mapreduce, Hive, Hbase, MongoDB, Cassandra, Impala, Oozie, Mahaout, Flume, Zookeper, Sqoop, Programming or Scripting Language.

JAVA, PHP, Ruby, Python, R, Linux and Unix
