The Department of Cancer Biology (http://med.uc.edu/cancerbiology) at the University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine is seeking highly qualified researchers to fill faculty positions. The rank of the appointment (Assistant/Associate/Professor) is open and will be commensurate with the experience and professional accomplishments of the selected applicant.
The Department of Cancer Biology, in partnership with Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC) and UC Cancer Center (UCCC), offers a highly collaborative environment that is supported by recent substantial institutional investment in infrastructure and core facilities (http://med.uc.edu/research/core-facilities & https://www.cincinnatichildrens.org/research/cores).
The successful candidate will join the Department of Cancer Biology, a rapidly expanding department with faculty strength in research areas that include hormone receptor biology, gene regulation, autophagy, tumor metabolism, oncogenic signaling and genome integrity. Faculty labs are housed in the Vontz Center for Molecular Studies, an architecturally notable structure designed by Frank Gehry.
Qualifications
All successful candidates must possess a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree(s) and work on basic mechanisms of breast cancer in the areas complementing the existing strengths of the department. Investigators using or developing cutting-edge technologies to address fundamental questions in general cancer biology are also highly encouraged to apply. We invite applications from candidates with postdoctoral experience, a substantial publication record and research interest in but not limited to: tumor microenvironment, gene regulation and cancer epigenetics, anti-tumor immunity, chemical biology, tumor metastasis, recurrence, metabolism and computational systems biology. Successful candidates appointed at the Associate or Professor level must have an outstanding track record in publications and external grant funding.
