Job Summary
Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group is looking for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Psychiatrist to join our Department of Neurosurgery. The ideal physician will help develop and lead an interdisciplinary team in the treatment of intensive outpatients with complex medical and psychiatric illnesses. Dual board eligibility strongly desired (Psychiatry required, and Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Neurology desired).
The position is for a full-time inpatient academic psychiatrist to manage 10-12 patients on a 24 bed unit. Responsibilities include training medical students and residents. There are ample opportunities for development of research and educational projects. Candidates with board-certification preferred.
