Position Summary:

Diagnoses problems, repairs, adjusts and maintains productionequipment and machinery to ensure reliability and efficient day-to-dayoperations. Tests and inspects parts when needed, and identify issues that mayarise. Takes preventive measures to avoid unexpected downtime. Must be a teamplayer and also able to work by yourself.


* Sets up, troubleshoot, and maintaintest systems, test system procedures and databases according to generalinstructions and agency test requirements.

* Analyzes test data and modifiesparameters, sequence and steps in test procedures for units tested to meetquality standards.

* Provides technical support onautomated equipment such as CNC and robot systems.

* Instructs production personnel in theproper and safe operation of test systems.

* Assists line personnel with unittroubleshooting.

* Sets up and maintains computerhardware for test and automated systems.

* Follows established safety proceduresand maintains a clean work area.

* Other duties as assigned.


A wide and comprehensiveunderstanding of, both general and specific aspects of the job

Minimal supervision

Work may be done without establishedprocedures

Demonstrates technical/administrativeexpertise

Abilityto read, understand and complete PM’s as required

Abilityto use and enter data in CMMS (Maximo)

Assistand works with other Technicians as required

Abilityto perform LOTO and a complete understanding of LOTO after training


The preferred candidate should have a Vocational Certificate orHigh School Diploma.

Preferred candidates will possess the required educationalbackground and at least 1 year of experience.

Knowledgeof mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics is desirable

Experiencein a high volume manufacturing operation is a plus.

Proficiency in a Windows operating environment, including e-mail,Microsoft Office software, and SQL is desired

Knowledge in computer databases and networking a plus.

Strong interpersonal skills and decision making ability.

Effective and professional communication and organization skills.

Must be self-motivated and able to work on multiple tasks.

* Willingness to pursue additional education to improve skillset inthe mechanical/electrical/plc field/electronics to help prepare oneself to moveinto a maintenance technician role when an opening occurs.
