Pay range for this position is $24.53-$27.07.

This is an experienced position to work as a Yard Rigger. Applicants may be assigned to a variety of Yard Rigger Trade tasks, including (but not limited to): selecting and assembling rigging gear, determining load capacities of gear, attaching and un-attaching loads to lifting gear, give direction to crane operators with hand signals or radio, operate radio controlled cranes, perform complex hand rigging, complex lifts, engineered lifts, drift lifts, operate mobile equipment, inspect rigging gear, and perform basic crane operations.



Experience operating bridge, portal, pendant, or radio remote cranes.


High School Diploma or GED.



More than 3 year previous rigging experience.

Must be able to work on ships, on the ground, and in all buildings.
Must be able to identify the correct type sling for a given application
Must be able to determine sling angles and associated capacities.
Must demonstrate usage and understanding of "Standard Hand Signals".
Must meet the requirements of the Y02 physical task analysis.
Ability to explain basic terms such as: Load Radius, Working Load Ratings, Gross Capacity, Net Capacity, Rated Capacity, Sling Angle and Usage Criteria.
