ManTech is seeking a motivated, mission oriented Senior Vulnerability Engineer in the Crystal City, VA area, with strong customer relationships.  As Senior Vulnerability Engineer, you will join a team responsible for designing, implementing, and managing security support structure and vulnerability programs for physical and virtual desktop and server environment, applying best practices to automate and to accelerate adoption of new technologies, services and upgrades, analyze and tune application and service performance, implementing security and vendor best practices in a distributed IT environment.

As part of the team, your responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Delivering and maintaining the vulnerability management program for a system with the following technologies: Windows Server 2016, Exchange 2016, SQL 2016, SharePoint 2016, Sentris 3.2, vSphere 6.5, McAfee ePO, Cisco, Ivanti, Windows 10
  • Report to Team Lead in executing vulnerability engineering position
  • Create program and apply patches/remediating vulnerabilities to systems in an ongoing, defined process to ensure a proper vulnerability management posture
  • Work with security engineers, system engineers, ops team, and network engineer to ensure seamless vulnerability management into the production system
  • Track vulnerability posture to continuously monitor and improve on overall vulnerability status
  • Participating in processes throughout all phases of Secure ITIL Service Lifecycle, including developing full Service Design Packages, submitting Change Requests, and ensuring security is built into the design of the system
  • Perform security impact analysis for implementing vulnerability mitigations
  • Ability to be a self-starter, work with minimal supervision, and prepare for recurring iteration agile meetings with updates on engineering tasks
  • Investigating and resolving operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel

Position Requirements:

  • Must acquire/maintain DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification
  • Must acquire/maintain DoD 8570 computing environment certification within 6 months of start
  • VMware certifications a plus
  • Microsoft technology certifications a plus
  • Working knowledge of patch management and vulnerability programs
  • Working knowledge of applying security best practices from DISA and/or vendors
  • Experience working in agile environments a plus

Security Requirements:

  • TS/SSBI clearance adjudicated within the past 6 years
