Unique Skills:

Strong Cisco networking background preferred. Experience with Palo Alto firewalls a plus.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Ten (10) years experience across multiple IT disciplines and in developing information security architecture.
May offset education requirement by one (1) year per recognized industry certification. Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or technology related field preferred.

Position Purpose:
Designs, implements and maintains enterprise solutions focused in the area of information security technologies. Assists with creating the governing principles around security architecture across the organization.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions: 1. Provides technical expertise that drives information security technology choices, strategy, and implementation decisions 2. Serves as a security liaison between business and technology interests within the organization to achieve confidentiality, integrity, and availability across all enterprise information systems 3. Experienced in engineering strategy, architecture, design, and implementation as applied to complex computing environments 4. Leads the maintenance and administration of information security services including VPN, firewalls as well as intrusion detection systems (IDS) / intrusion protection systems (IPS) 5. Identifies opportunities to extend existing/emerging technologies and/or implements new technologies to meet anticipated information security, business, and consumer needs 6. Serve as Tier III technical support for products supported by information security team 7. Mentors junior information security team members

Additional Functions: 1. Able to be on call for incidents and problems. 2. Able to travel as needed Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements: 1. Obtains a strong familiarly with corporate information security policies in order to inform their own decisions and advise others. 2. Self-starter, team player, and effective negotiator with advanced decision-making and diplomacy skills. 3. Demonstrates enterprise thinking and influence across functional boundaries, organizational levels, and with external partners. 4. Understanding of architectural principles including performance, scalability, security, availability and flexibility and how to design for them. 6. Competency in packet sniffer operation and packet dissection (Wireshark, tcpdump, Fiddler, etc). 7. Security certifications (CISSP, CEH, Security+, etc.) or other industry certifications (MCSE, CCIE, etc.) are a plus. 6_1. Familiarity with IPSec tunneling, VRF's, and subnetting. 7. Industry certifications (CCIE, CCNE, etc.) are a plus.
