Summary / Description

We are seeking motivated, career and customer oriented Enterprise Architects interested in joining our team in the Washington, DC area and exploring an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.

 

 

In this role you will deliver world class solutions to Unisys’ customer in your role as a Enterprise Architect. You will design leading-edge technology solutions that result in positive outcomes for Unisys' customers. You will conceptualize, architect, design, implement and support integrated solutions. You will demonstrates extensive knowledge of industry, technology and strategy trends and uses this knowledge to develop solutions. You will advise, analyze, research, design, install and implement complex integrated solutions for an entire enterprise.

 

Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Establishes system information requirements using analysis of the information engineer(s) in the development of enterprise-wide or large scale information systems.
  • Designs architecture to include the software, hardware, and communications to support the total requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces.
  • As appropriate, ensures these systems are compatible and in compliance with the standards for open systems architectures, the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) and International Standards Organization (ISO) reference models, and profiles of standards - such as Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) Open Systems Environment (OSE) reference model - as they apply to the implementation and specification of Information Management (IM) solution of the application platform, across the application program interface (API), and the external environment/software application.
  • Evaluates analytically and systematically problems of work flows, organization, and planning and develops appropriate corrective action. Provides daily supervision and direction to staff.

 

Requirements

Position Requirements:

U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED

Minimum ability to obtain public trust clearance, Secret or higher clearance a plus

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience

Relevant certifications a plus

Must have demonstrated capability for oral and written communications

Significant exposure to clients across a variety of technologies, industries and domains

Expert level experience in at least two of the following specific technology areas: Server Operating Systems, Database / Information Management, Networks, Security, Desktop Technology, Virtualization (Server, Desktop, and Application), Infrastructure and Device Monitoring, Mobility Solutions and Application Platforms / Application Integration.

Strong communications skills with the ability to interface with all levels of internal and client project teams.

Knowledge on applicable industry standards and frameworks such as ITIL, CoBIT, ISO, TOGAF and FEAF

Understands datacenter operations and infrastructure implementation methodologies
