Senior Business Analyst - Military Veterans

Summary / Description

We are seeking motivated, career and customer oriented Business Analysts, interested in joining our team in Alexandria, VA and exploring an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.

 

In this role you will develops, implement and support integrated solutions for client engagements. Demonstrate specialist knowledge in one or more products, application or technology and use this knowledge to generate profitable revenue growth for Unisys. Take responsibility for the complete integrity of a solution. Interface with the client's IT managers and users on technical issues. Construct, install, and implement products or complex technology or application solutions for a unit or organization. Provide maintenance and technical support on services/products solutions, utilizing current and emerging technologies. Apply industry or domain knowledge to deliver solution recommendations. Construct solutions for integration projects that involve multiple systems. Integrate solutions from one or more areas of specialization into existing client environments. May provide sales and/or proposal support as requested, prepare packaged presentations, and conduct demonstrations. Identify ways in which new products and/or modifications or enhancements to current products can be successfully implemented. Provide technical presentations to internal and external clients.

 

Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze the systems and highlight areas of improvement
  • Enhance opportunities by identifying new software/service to be developed
  • Analyze and decompose complex requirements
  • Perform gap analysis and recommend solutions
  • Fulfill requirement elicitation
  • Document requirements, create functional specifications and prepare wireframes/flowcharts
  • Oversee the development of the product as per the specifications
  • Facilitate change and configuration management
  • Monitor performance, discover variances and propose necessary actions
  • Validate the functionality of the end product according to the requirement specifications
  • Prepare technical user manuals, system configuration documents and other technical reports
  • Thorough knowledge of the area of specialization
  • Analytical and investigation skills
  • Ability to understand the bigger picture
  • Working knowledge of data and process modelling
  • Elicitation and comprehension skills
  • Grip over database concepts like DBMS, ETL and SQL
  • Good command over spoken and written communication
  • Organizational and presentation skills
  • Interpersonal and managerial skills
  • Strong understanding of USPTO SELC/DHS Agile practices

 

Requirements

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree and 8 years relevant experience or equivalent required.
  • Knowledge/Experience with Agile and Test Driven development methodologies.
  • Experienced performing in HP/UX, Linux and AIX as well as Windows based environments.
  • Strong Knowledge/Experience of development in a Continuous Integration Change Management (CICM) automated deployment and operations approach. Supporting in Jenkins, Maven, Ansible, and Puppet or Chef environments is desired.
