We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Subject Matter Expert to join our team in Washington, DC, to begin an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems. 

 

Position Summary:

 

In this role you will provide technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications and operational environment, high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation and implementation advice on exceptionally complex problems that require graduate level knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation. Apply principles, methods and knowledge of the functional area of capability to specific task order requirements, advanced principles and methods, to exceptionally difficult and narrowly defined technical problem to arrive at solutions.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Meet or exceed delivery and budget objectives and other relevant operational/program/business requirements.

  • Work closely with other functional groups, i.e. Vertical Segments, other Business Units if applicable, Marketing, Finance and customers to formulate long range plans, applied research and product strategies consistent with those plans. 
  • Contribute actively to Unisys market presence through presentations, membership in associations, publication of white papers and articles. 
  • Develop plans and establish schedules and cost objectives for technology programs and ensure effective implementation. 
  • Keep abreast of information technology and applied research trends and developments and incorporate them into assignments where appropriate. 
  • Build strong working relationship/collaborate with engagement program leadership and field personnel to provide excellent customer support. 
  • Evaluate and negotiate third-party tools and services. 
  • Generate systems software information technology policies, standards and procedures. 
  • Complete performance reviews on all direct reports within the Unisys policy/guidelines. 
  • Lead efforts of virtual teams. Understand regional cultural considerations and build strong working relationships. 
  • Provide skill and career development opportunities for the employees in their organization. 
  • Follow business processes and contribute information technology components as appropriate. 
  • May lead an organization of subordinate managers.

Requirements

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum 15 years experience within an information technology organization or equivalent blend of education and experience.
  • Understand Product and Service Development Life Cycle management in an information technology environment
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across functions, business units and geographical regions.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership in any one of the track areas by publishing papers / journals or presentations in conferences, patents etc.
  • Proactive, analytical and capable of influencing and providing decision support.
  • Team Player, leader and mentor.
