Position Summary / Responsibilities:
We are seeking motivated, career and customer oriented Senior Agile Test Engineers interested in joining our team in Alexandria, VA and exploring an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.
 
In this role you will support the enhancement and operation and maintenance of Agile developed Content Manageent and other web services based applications and services for a large government office. You will model and apply software engineering methods and techniques to the design, development, evaluation, integration, qualification and/or support of complex products, tools, or technologies in one or more areas of expertise. May work independently or cooperatively with other software developers, often assuming test leadership role & Recognized as specialist and may function as a technical consultant or researcher.
 
Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:
Candidate will provide a comprehensive test strategy, working with the application architect and developers to understand scope and depth of unit testing and requirements for test data and environments, and participate in instrumentation design (e.g., to support performance assessment). Brings to the team a strong testing background with Agile/Scrum teams, including functional, system, integration, regression, and performance testing, using integrated test automation tools. Applies skills using using Rally(Computer Associates Agile Centra) for defect tracking, JUnit/TestNG to drive test suite framework, Maven to maintain test dependencies, Jenkins to build and run scheduled tests, and Selenium to automate web browser testing. Provides strong testing of web services using Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) UI. Will develop a performance model based on the profile of each component, and then develop test plans to empirically validate those performance measures across environments. While providing and coordinating a comprehensive configuration management system test strategy, ensures that the solution is thoroughly tested and documented and delivered with predictable performance and scalability in accordance with the QASP. Maintains and updates the QASP. Works as a memeber of SCRUM based Agile develpment and operational support team and participates in daily meetings and comits to completing accepted tasks to Sprint schedules.

Requirements

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree and 10 years relevant experience or equivalent required.
  • Knowledge/Experience with developing test cases and pland based on Agile and Test Driven development methodologies.
  • Strong Knowledge/Experience with JUnit and/TestNG to drive test suite framework. Experience with SOAP UI to test web services.
  • Experienced performing in HP/UX, Linux and AIX as well as Windows based environments.
  • Experience using Selenium/TestComplete for automating web browser testing.
  • Strong Knowledge/Experience of development in a Continuous Integration Change Management (CICM) automated deployment and operations approach. Supporting in Jenkins, Maven, Ansible, and Knowledge Puppet or Chef is desired.
  • Knowledge of Agile Testing Tools such as Cucumber & Beaker are desired. 
  • Agile and/or iterative SELC - SCRUM required.
