Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Monitor the batch schedule for a large IT organization utilizing Control M.
• Take appropriate actions when errors or exceptions occur following the provided documentation.
• Perform Customer service functions as defined in the Service Desk ConOps. 
• Monitor system availability and alert features as a Service Desk member. 
• Reset passwords for Open Systems, using provided procedures and processes. 
• Basic understanding of batch processing products.  Utilize batch processing tools to monitor and maintain daily customer schedules.  Build, validate, monitor and run batch schedules.
• Perform lower level System Administration activities as determined by the Government in order to monitor the status of on-site and off-site server population. 
• Work to resolve customer incidents and monitored anomalies, making all attempts to resolve the customer’s problem without elevation outside the Service Desk; correct these conditions and document the processes used with the objective towards ever-increasing decision-tree logic processes and automation for addressing future similar occurrences. 
• Use configured Enterprise Systems Management (ESM) toolsets in the performance of their Service Desk function. 
• Identify and target processes for automation candidates to the proper technical group. 
• Interface with the existing Level 2 system administrators and ESM toolset managers in defining requirements, implementation and use of automation for all open system environments. 
• Work with Level 2 System Administrators and ESM toolset managers to incorporate scripts, crons, capacity and performance monitoring tools into multi-level automation, in support of Service Desks and increased ESM toolset functionality.

Position Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree & minimum 3 years of experience or equivalent
• U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED
• Comptia Security + within 6 months of hire
• Candidates for this position must undergo a favorably adjudicated Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) as a minimum investigation.  The SSBI will be maintained current within 5-years and requests for Special Background Periodic Review (SBPR) will be initiated 6-months prior to the 5-year anniversary date of the previous SSBI or SBPR.
• This is a salaried position and requires work on various shifts and weekends.
