In this role you will be a member of a team of technical and functional logistics experts. This position requires an individual to be able to perform analysis of data extracted from numerous DoD logistics systems that interface with the Integrated Data Environment (IDE)/Global Transportation Network (GTN) Convergence (IGC) data warehouse.  The individual is responsible for documenting, validating, and reporting data anomalies/data quality discovered through analysis.  Validated findings are reported to the appropriate offices for resolution.  The individual will participate in the development of a variety of metrics and reports that support the Joint Deployment Distribution Enterprise (JDDE).  The individual is responsible for building new reports and presentations in support of ad-hoc customer requests.

 

Knowledge of and experience with DoD systems that include GDSS, GATES/GEMS, CMOS, GFM, TCAIMS, IBS, WPS/GATES, DAASC, and ISDDC is preferable.  Basic knowledge of various commercial carrier contracts and additional experience with basic structured query language (SQL) is also a plus.

 

Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Identify, design, develop, support, and communicate improvement opportunities with appropriate business case justifications
  • Discuss and gather business requirements, prepare functional specification document for the development team, perform unit and integration testing of the custom developments
  • Leverage understanding of Information Technology (IT) development methodologies 
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Exercise Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Exercise basic knowledge of Microsoft Access
  • Build and foster effective relationships with internal and external customers
  • Work individually as well as part of a team
  • Work against tight deadlines
  • Manage multiple assignments and conflicting priorities
  • Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) is a plus
  • Experience with IBM Analytics/Cognos is a plus
  • Experience in commercial logistics industry is a plus
  • Knowledge of Ocean Distribution process is a plus

Requirements

Position Requirements:

  • U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED
  • DOD Secret Clearance Required
  • Education/Experience:  Bachelor’s degree and minimum 5 years of relevant work experience or equivalent.
