Position Summary/Responsibilities:

 

We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented SharePoint Administrator to join our team in Alexandria, VA to begin an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.

 

The Senior SharePoint Administrator manages operational aspects of the development, integration and production SharePoint 2013 environments including availability, reliability, performance, monitoring and security of the platform. The Administrator must be able to work with very little supervision in a highly charged and fast paced environment. 


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee SharePoint 2013 Enterprise administrative functions to include task execution using Central Administration and PowerShell. Support the installation, configuration, security, operation, and maintenance of servers, equipment, and software related to SharePoint infrastructure.
  • Maintain and administer multiple Microsoft SharePoint 2013 Enterprise Farms (DEV, SAT, PROD) including daily monitoring of event logs, troubleshooting and performance analysis to monitor overall health.
  • Conduct routine monitoring and analysis to include Audit Log Reports evaluation, system and storage utilization reports, site and system usage, growth reports, and manage site collection quota settings.
  • Work with external teams to monitor and troubleshoot issues and requests related to load balancing, alerts, and SharePoint policies.
  • Work closely with SQL DBAs to ensure farm performance, monitor SQL storage levels, and coordinate required maintenance.
  • Manage all Enterprise SharePoint 2013 Service Applications such as Business Data Connectivity Service, Managed Metadata Service, User Profile Service, MySites and Search and the Workflow Manager.
  • Participate in planning and execution of tasks related to the evaluation of new SharePoint based initiatives including version upgrades, security patching, and integration with additional enterprise systems. 
  • Perform system administrative activities such SharePoint and .Net Framework patching and monitoring SharePoint content databases.
  • Work with internal Production Team to produce and analyze reports for SharePoint audits, content cleanup, and requested restructuring.
  • Maintain current industry knowledge of development concepts, best practices, and procedures for SharePoint 2013 solutions.

Requirements

 

Required Skills:  

  • Minimum 15 years of IT experience and a Master’s degree or equivalent blend of education and experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills 
  • Strong interpersonal skills in a team-based development environment 
  • Experience working with support technologies:
    • Active Directory
    • MS SQL
    • PowerShell
    • IIS
    • F5 Load Balancing Technologies.
  • Candidate selected must be able to obtain and maintain government eligibility requirements.
  • Must meet U.S. Citizenship eligibility requirements.
