Summary / Description

We are seeking motivated, career and customer oriented Functional Specialist/Advisor- Motion GEOINT Services Engineer - Senior interested in joining our team in Chantilly, VA and exploring an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.

 

The NGA Motion GEOINT Services Systems Engineer (SE) will:

  • Provide SE&I&A SME to implement vision to replace stovepipe Motion Imagery(MI) TPED with an open NSG enterprise, system of systems service-oriented architecture
  • Ensure Motion GEOINT Services Project Capability Mission Based Outcomes (MBO) are achieved, providing requisite capabilities and services to meet mission and GEOINT (GI) community user needs
  • Perform technical systems analysis of alternatives and recommendations on using and implementing NSG Enterprise services and operations, leveraging industry best practices
  • Assess current and future technology, and ensure the Motion GEOINT Project leverages innovative tradecraft and best practices, and captures lessons learned
  • Perform stakeholder need datamining & interface with various NSG enterprise orgs, contractors and industry on technology, IT implementation alternatives, techniques, process, best practices

 

Requirements

Position Requirements:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS, Info Systems, Math, or related scientific or technical discipline and a minimum of 6 years of overall experience
  • 5+ years IT(eg SE&I, architecture, analysis, capabilities implementation, process) experience
  • 2 years SE&I experience working with GEOINT capabilities/systems/segments/services
  • Proficiency applying SE&I (e.g., processes, mission needs engineering & analysis and I/F definition, project planning/IMS, IV&V, and transition, risk and readiness management)
  • NGA Geospatial/GEOINT architecture, analysis, capability implementation, process experience
  • Experience troubleshooting and problem-solving technical and non-technical issues
  • Strong customer service and teaming skills; ability to collaborate in cross-functional team
  • Strong oral/written communications; Able to explain tech issues clearly/accurately to non-tech staff
  • Demonstrated ability to adjust to changing priorities

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • MS in Engineering, CS, Info Systems, Math, or related scientific or technical discipline
  • Relevant certs [eg, SE&I(INCOSE), IT(ITIL), IA(CISSP) Agile(Scrum), SAFe model SME]
  • Familiarity/Proficiency with agile SWE practices & programming languages (e.g., Python)
  • Demonstrated ability to translate mission needs and user requirements into end-to-end designs for systems that involve multiple interfaces and supporting data repositories
  • SE&I experience implementing open system, service-based architectures [e.g., understanding: hybrid (SOA & REST-based) architecture patterns, Enterprise Architecture interoperability frameworks providing orchestration]
  • Systems & Ops Analysis Experience - Determining how changes affect outcomes, and how to analyze mission and content needs and product requirements to create a design
  • Knowledge of media production, communication, & dissemination techniques & methods
  • Ability to identify technology gaps/infusion opportunities in current capabilities/processes
  • Experience using geospatial information, logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative technical solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
