Order Picker (7289) - Military Veterans

Description

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Order Picker will be located at the company’s manufacturing location in Medina, OH (Greater Cleveland Area). This individual will be responsible for fulfilling all customer orders to prepare for shipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for filling customer orders using a pick list and preparing orders for shipment according to company standards
• Obtain product from bins or shelves and ensure all orders filled are complete and accurate
• Experience with counting, cross-checking, picking and staging of orders and shipments
• Must have attention to detail, organizational skills and have a familiarity with order and inventory paperwork
• Must have experience with warehouse power equipment such as: PIV, forklift, pallet jack and pallet wrappers
• Able to work independently while still focusing on customer service and problem solving
• Must be able to work in adverse working conditions and have keen understanding of ergonomics( heavy lifting ,reaching & squatting required)

Requirements

• Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent
• Works under moderate supervision
• 1-3 years of related experience
• Forklift certification and familiarity with first aid and safety a plus
• Computer skills and familiarity with EAP systems

• Knowledge of manufacturing environment
• Ability to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines while performing with a high degree of accuracy
• Interpersonal skills to collaborate at various levels, with individuals in other business functions
• Must possess strong organization, prioritization, and decision making skills
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a chemical manufacturing plant
• Occasionally may be required to reach, squat, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs
• Occasional overtime will be necessary
