Market Consulting Leads are responsible for engaging directly with prospective clients to understand their needs, diagnose problems, and scope consulting solutions. This leader will have broad knowledge of CBRE's core consulting disciplines - from talent planning and location strategy to occupancy modelling and portfolio strategy - and a passion for solving complex and often ambiguous, client challenges.

The Lead will work directly with clients, brokers and accounts to drive top line revenue, and will work closely with domain experts and local engagement managers, who are focused on delivering consulting projects.

Based in one of CBRE's primary markets, the Lead will act as a single-point-of-contact for CBRE's producers and account directors to access the consulting platform within the market and will have oversight across the surrounding region. The leader will also collaborate with peer Leads in other markets and regions to coordinate business development pursuits.

  • Engage with CBRE clients and prospective clients, in formal pursuits and informal conversations to diagnose their requirements and identify how CBRE's platform of services, tools and technology can best support their needs
    • Develop tailored scopes for consulting assignments
    • Articulate the services and value propositions of all CBRE consulting capabilities
    • Communicate CBRE's point of view on relevant and current topics
  • Coordinate with CBRE brokers, accounts and market leaders to help differentiate CBRE by integrating consulting capabilities into one-off assignments and accounts
  • Assemble and lead multi-disciplinary pursuits and project delivery teams, and manage the creation of proposals, presentations and other client-facing materials and deliverables
    • Lead and/or participate in pricing and contract negotiations
    • Track all activity using a sales management database
    • Complete lessons learned debriefs to identify critical success factors in pursuits and projects; leverage that data to consistently strengthen and improve pursuit strategies
  • Ensure that end-to-end delivery of consulting services achieve the stated client objectives


The successful candidate will be creative problem solvers who loves to think outside of the box and is inspired by helping clients achieve great outcomes. Her/His talent is in understanding the nuances of a questions or challenges and then in assembling the right insight, process, and experts to answer it.

  • 7+ years of credible, related work experience in leading business development or delivery of strategic projects for a large client or set of clients in the field of real estate, management consulting, design, financial services, or technology
  • Undergraduate degree; graduate degree preferred
  • Working knowledge in the core real estate consulting disciplines of portfolio, occupancy, location, sustainability, technology, workforce, and workplace strategies
  • Exceptional writing and presentation skills
  • High proficiency in MS Office Suite of Products

We are in particular need of Building Maintenance Technicians and Maintenance Managers.  Folks that have current hands on experience with HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, PLC’s, robotics, conveyor systems, carpentry, automation, controls and/or general maintenance.  And we need Managers that can direct these employees.
